About the AMS-3946 Displacement Sensor
The AMS-3946 Non-Contact High Precision Proximity Measuring System is designed to detect ferromagnetic materials through non-magnetic, conductive, and non-conductive barriers. These rugged sensors perform in high-pressure environments — from 500 psi to over 22,500 psi. At the same time, the system offers a standard measuring range of up to 7 mm and delivers a resolution of 1 micron.
This combination of robust design and precision performance allows the sensor to enhance any condition monitoring system’s ability to detect and measure vibration, speed, and runout. This helps reduce the risk of unexpected equipment failure, damage, and downtime.
The AMS-3946 does not need special magnets to work, which makes the sensors more economical and easier to install. The sensors can work with any ferromagnetic target and are able to detect the target position through non-magnetic, conductive, and non-conductive barriers. This makes it possible to set up installations that are leak-proof, penetration-free, or hermetically sealed.
